Meet the Doctor

David Lutz, PA-C
Founder & Lead Orthopedic Provider, OrthoLutz

I’m David Lutz, a board-certified physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. With nearly a decade of experience in both operative and non-operative musculoskeletal care, I founded OrthoLutz to offer high-quality, personalized orthopedic services rooted in clinical expertise and genuine patient care.

Over the course of my career, I’ve led orthopedic care in high-volume, fast-paced environments—managing up to 50 patients per day across 14 locations. My responsibilities have included the independent evaluation and treatment of orthopedic injuries, interpretation of advanced imaging, joint injections, coordination of physical therapy, and guiding patients through both conservative management and surgical care.

My background includes extensive experience in the operating room, working closely on a range of advanced orthopedic procedures such as knee and shoulder arthroscopies, ligament reconstructions, and tendon repairs. This immersive surgical involvement has deepened my clinical insight and sharpened my ability to help patients make informed, confident decisions about their treatment plans.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, where I graduated summa cum laude, and completed my Physician Assistant training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where I distinguished myself by graduating among the top of my class. I hold active licensure in both New York and New Jersey and am a proud member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

At OrthoLutz, my mission is to provide orthopedic care that’s both expert and approachable. Whether you're facing a new injury or managing a chronic condition, I’m here to help you return to strength, mobility, and confidence—one step at a time.
